ABOUT B.V.C RADIO

Barra and Vatersay Community Radio is a community led local radio project, which will not be for individual financial or commercial gain, but dedicated to serving the community as a communication tool.

The radio station will be a controlled and managed local station with community programming reflecting the islands’s unique blend of community interests, language, history and cultural diversity.

The station / studio will be accessible to all local people and training opportunities will be provided for them to make and broadcast their own programmes that will meet the needs of their local groups within the community.  This is a  community project, for the community, by the community as well as providing education, entertainment, and an informative service.

All monies raised go straight back into the radio and we would welcome any donations to help us with the substantial running costs of the station. Donations can be made by clicking on the "Please Donate" button at the top of this page.
